Military Cross – 2015

Sculpted by Steve Palmerton, his own sculpture take on the infamous “Military Cross”, using items with authenticity from the WWII era, the M-1 Garand, the netted helmet, dog tags, infantry boots. We have seen a lot of these in the 16 years here at The Crucible, we’ve made a lot of these as well. Most of them had little character, like they were pieced together, Steve blended it carefully with a nice french green patina on a walnut base design.

The “Military Cross” is 12″ high and weighs in at 5 lbs. Each is signed by Steve Palmerton. It is the miniature of the life size version he did for the Wewoka Vets back in 2013…
